Building a Zero-Commission Food Delivery Platform – Looking for Feedback & Early Support
Summary: Sumeet Bhawsar, Sumeet Bhawsar, introduces TapMyFood, a hyperlocal food delivery platform designed to address the high commission fees faced by restaurants and excessive costs incurred by customers in the current food delivery ecosystem. The model proposes a subscription service for restaurants at ₹999 per month without commissions, along with low and transparent delivery pricing for customers. The company will initially focus on Indore, targeting high-density areas to achieve profitability even with a small market share. Sumeet seeks feedback on the model, suggestions for scaling, and potential collaborators or investors in the field of hyperlocal commerce.
I’m building TapMyFood, a hyperlocal food delivery platform aimed at fixing the biggest problem in today’s delivery ecosystem.
Restaurants lose 20–30% commission on every order, while customers end up paying extra through delivery fees, platform charges, and surge pricing. Despite this, the system remains inefficient and costly.
Our approach is simple:
₹999/month subscription for restaurants (no commission)
Low, transparent delivery pricing for customers
Hyperlocal focus to improve delivery efficiency and margins
We’re starting in Indore, targeting high-density areas where even a small market share (2–3%) can create a profitable and scalable model.
We’ve already built a basic product and are now validating the model on ground.
👉 Looking for:
Feedback on the model
Suggestions on scaling strategy
Early collaborators / investors interested in hyperlocal commerce
Would love to hear your thoughts!
